If you are a Freelance developer, working in a small business or need to know how much you have to charge for a service it can be quite hard to do this in a simple and easy to use fashion. This is where Billings comes into play. As the name suggests its a professional application which you can use to send estimates, track how long you have worked on a project and send invoices. It also has a very detailed reporting feature which you can use to see exactly what is happening with your clients.

We all need a method where we can organise and make sure we get all of our life’s and files in order. Most of the time it is through making sure our Finder folders make sense and contain the files they supposed it (mine frequently don’t). One way of helping with this is using a quick launcher. Today I am going to review Stuf, a neat little clipboard manager that enables you to store more items on your clipboard, very useful if you do a lot of copy and pasting. There are hundreds of different clipboard managers out there, most of them are the same. Stuf, however, has one feature that sets it self apart, the ability to share your clipboard over a network. Interesting.

Image design programs are hard to get right. Photoshop seems to be the bigger winner in front however there are a lot of small image programs bring up the rear. Todays app, Pixelmator is an image manipulation program designed for the Mac, on its own its a really good application and for people who haven’t used Photoshop its everything your want. It looks awesome and has plenty of features.

People have pets, I have a couple of fish and a rabbit. Keeping control of all of the information including medical bills, costs and other bits of information can be a hassle. Although you could use a spreadsheet or word document to keep control of everything having a dedicated app can take away a lot of the hassle and make keeping controls of your pet records more fun. This is where Clarus comes in. Its the one stop shop for keeping control of your pets records and its a dream to use.

I like a squeaky clean computer. Ever so often I will clean my caches get rid of old apps that I don’t need and generally make sure my computer works as I want it. Most of the hard tasks which I forget to do, take a while and are quite complex to complete. This is where a tool like MainMenu comes in. Its a menu bar application (which, again, I am sure I have reviewed, another case of dèjà vu) which you use to run daily, weekly and monthly tasks. Its not the sort of app you run all of the time, but its really useful.

I use the Services Menu quite a lot. If you don’t use it, it’s located under the Application Name > Services. It contains small applications which are designed to help you use your Mac. The problem with this menu is that it does get quite cluttered. Different applications put different options in this menu and the list can grow steadily longer. Todays app, ServiceScrubber, is designed to scrub those service options you don’t want and help clear the place up.
