Its been a while since I have done a post on this site, i’m sorry. The pile of stuff to do is getting so tall I may have to raise the ceiling. Anyway, today’s app is all about modifying images, specifically screen shots. It’s called Voila and is the app for people who need to edit and modify screen shots of applications to send to their co-workers or friends. It is designed so you don’t need to open up an image editing application to edit a screen shot. A good time save and way to streamline any development process in which you have to show screen shots of applications.

If you are a user of SSH it can be quite difficult to monitor who is connected to your Mac. A free little tool that you can use it Who Is Connected? Its a new freeware app that is designed to tell you who is connected to your Mac through SSH and AFP. It uses Growl as the main interface, but is really useful to see when connections are made and by who. Although the application is simple it is very useful.

I like writing on my blog’s, so much so I have a couple of them. Most of the time I use the editor built into my blogging platform, however there are a couple of programs out there that allow you to write and publish posts from your Mac without the need to use your web browser. This enables you to work from any where without the need to use your favourite browser. It also simplfies the process of writing posts. The app I am going to review is called Blogo. Its a multiplatorm post editor.

There are quite a lot of invoicing apps on the web. Simply because there is so many people running second freelance jobs that require a way toinvoice people for their services. Today I am going to write a review of Involer its a very simple and easy to use app. I really enjoy using it and will probably use it more and more to invoice any service I provide.

I like to be as efficient as possible when using my Mac. I hate it when I have spend a good five minutes trying to get something to work. I quick command is usually a lot simpler and easier to use. This is where Dockables comes in. Its a collection of Dock icons (although you can place them in Finder as well) which you can use to do certain actions. Its really useful and enables you to carry out commands from the dock. No scripting knowledge required.

Adverts on websites can get annoying, especially the ones that pop up and take over your browser. Although you could use a tool like Adblock Plus, it doesn’t work in Safari and other browsers. So what is more simple than having a background app that can bock adverts for you, other great thing about this program is that it can also block otherURL’s than adverts, so you can have a system wide blocker for websites you don’t want the kiddies to visit. Glimmer Bocker will do all this for you.
