If you have visited Apple’s website and had a good dig through the pages you must have come across some images that have had a bit of Photoshop action applied to them. These images tend to be at an angle with a nice reflection underneath. For the average person who doesn’t know how to work Photoshop this can be hard to complete. But Picturesque can do this for you. It enables you to make good looking images for anything you want.

Picturesqueing Photos

Using this program is extremely simple. From how the application feels and works it use Quartz Composer to apply the effects. These effects are Perspective, Reflection, Shadow, Curve, Stroke as well as Crop. Perspective is that shallow angle you see on the photos. By changing a couple of the values you can increase the angle. Reflection gives the image you create a reflection that slowly fades away. Shadow, Curve and Stroke are other effects which you can use to slightly change your image. Most of the time you use Perspective and Reflection.

Using the program is very easy. You drag in your images or folder of images and then apply the effect. Applying the effects includes clicking on the various options and slowly changing them to suit your desired effect. You can drag a whole folder of image into Picturesque and apply the effects at the same time. The batch options in this program is really useful. Especially if you are going to use these simple effects a lot.

Conclusion

This program is simple in terms of features. It doesn’t have millions of settings and features which you can change an manipulate. As a result this is a plus, because it keeps the app simple, but on the other hand it leaves you wanting more. What you can actually do is very limited. It is also quite expensive for what you actually receive. For the amount you are requested to pay it does feel expensive.
