Cram – Learn Those Facts 5
Tool
Hey
Sorry for the lack of posts, been really busy, revising ironically. Todays post is dedicated to a cool new application called Cram. Its designed as a flash card application which you can use to test yourself, for any upcoming tests or important events. Its quite useful once you have set it up and got used to the interface.
Jam It In
Once you have installed the application you are created with a blank interface. The app is split into two different sections, a general mangement section which you can use to manage the projects and test yourself on them. The second section is the question section, which you add and remove questions to the specific project.
Adding questions is relatively simple. You type yourself a question, then some possible answers. If you are a very visual person you can add an image or sound clip. Once as you have completed every section, you hit OK and proceed to adding a second question. You can then repeat this process until you have finished. It does involve you having to have some questions and answers ready, but this aides any revision process.
If you want to test yourself on what you have learnt you can hit the quiz button. This will generate your questions in an easy to use interface. You can then run through the questions answering them and trying to get them right. When you have finished you are given a score. The normal flash card, testing process that will hopefully enable you to pass the test.
Conclusion
Although you have to put quite a bit off effort into setting this application up, it is really useful. If you have lots of kids that need to learn facts, this seems a fun and interactive way of doing it. You can also access more features such as a test portal which you can use to gain tests from other people.
It is a well rounded app, however I don’t think it will be useful for anyone doing tests over 16+ (GCSE level), since you can only have simple questions and answers. However for anyone under that age its perfect.
P.S I would like to welcome Keynote Quartet to the team.

Thanks for the review!
I would like to add that alot of users are actually using Cram for LSATS, GRE, GMATs, and professional certifications. Our main users are those that are in college.
Adding questions can also be sped up a bit, with the built in “nswer Bank” feature, that allows you to just pop in all of your answers, and it will generate the incorrect answer for you.

I wondered what the answer bank is for. I’ll have to keep laying with it.
