Little Snapper – Get Snapping

There are many different applications out there that you can use to take pictures of your desktop and various windows. One of these is Skitch that I review a couple of months ago. Little Snapper is a similar application that is designed so you can manage your quick snaps, edit them and most importantly take good shots. Its an all in one application that is very useful to any one who has to take a lot of screenshots.

Snap A Way

Little Snapper is split up into three section, the lines are blurred between the sections mind. The main feature of this program is to take pictures and manage them. Taking pictures is really simple. You can either use the menu bar option which enables you to take pictures of your screen, portions of your screen or websites. Once as you hit the button it will automatically import them into the manage section of the program. This is shown below.

The manage section of the program has all of the features you would expect. It has folders, smart folders the ability to tag and organise images as well as the features such as thumbnail views and shortcuts to edit the image. Its really slick and you can quickly and easily get your screen shots the way you want them. From this section of the program you also have the ability to forward any image to the online account, I have not tested this feature. I expect it to be similar to Skitch.

Conclusion

This program is good. Its well written and implemented. It works as expected and is very responsive. The only problem with this program is that I don’t really see a need to use it. Its good a taking pictures and editing them, but you can do this in iPhoto and other free programs. However you may be different and need an all in one application to do this sort of thing.
