Although you can uninstall applications on your Mac by dragging applications from Finder and into the Trash, it doesn’t really delete them 100%. For example it leaves preference and cache files all over the place. This is kinda a problem if you want a squeaky clean Mac. Thankfully AppZapper is designed go through you Mac find all these files and delete them for you. Its an essential Mac application for any user.
Using AppZapper is very simple. It doesn’t take a lot to use the application. There steps are as follows. Drag and drop the application you want to Zap and uninstall into the drop pane. Then hit Zap, your then done. It is as simple as that. What actually happens it the application searches through your hard drive for similar files and then displays them for you. It saves you the time of searching for them yourself.
There are a couple of other features of this applications such as features to protect open and default applications. As well as this using the drop down menu in the main window to enable you to select widgets, preference panes, plugins and screen savers. This enables you to really get rid of the applications on your computer.
Conclusion
Overall this is a very good application and it enables you to clean up your computer with the minimum amount of ease. It does cost $12 although if you want a quick running Mac this type of application is paramount to have in your collection. I have a copy of this application and I use it all of the time.

I really don’t like the fact that something that can done so easily for free costs $12. You can a free app that does the same thing as this call app cleaner. Much nicer and has a drag and drop feature that allows you to drag any app into the window and it’ll search for all the things needed to be deleted. It also has something called smart delete which will search for anything with the same name as the app such as the dmg file you used to download it and you can delete those too.

There is alternatives. But for some reason I like AppZpper more. Personally it runs quicker and has a better interface and funky eye candy. But every one is different.

@Jim, for some time i use AppCleaner because is there free, then i try AppZapper for simple testing and i love it.
On many cases AppZapper found some files that AppCleaner ignore so AppZapper work better than any other uninstaller app.
