Desktop Curtain – Hide Your Desktop Icons 8
Utility
If you are doing screenshots of applications, webcasts for your podcast you may not want people seeing what you have on your desktop. For example mine is a cluster bomb of folders, images and various other bits and bobs. If I am taking a screenshot I might not want people to see them. This is where Desktop Curtain comes in. Its a small, free application that can hide your desktop.
Drawing The Curtains
Desktop Curtains is free, (you probably wouldn’t want to pay for this application). Once as it is launched, it will but an image, full screen, as the back most window on your desktop. This means that when you see your desktop you will only see this image. As a result it hides all of your icons and folders from prying eyes. It works really well. For example you can use the show all windows Expose button (but not the hide windows button) and the background will still be there.
It is a bit tricky to get working. Since there isn’t any application as such running it can be a bit funny get your head around how the application works. Once as you launch the app, it will start. You can change your desktop image to anything you want, ones with your logo work particularly well. As well as change a couple of other features such as which Spaces and screen it effects.
Conclusion
There are a couple of problems with this application. For example if you want to show your desktop with Expose it will show you original desktop and not the backdrop one you wanted. As well as this it is a bit tricky to show the application once as you have closed the window. It takes a little bit of shortcut trickery (explained in the app) to load the window back up again. One final drawback of this application is that it is quite slow. But you can’t complain about it.
This application is very useful for people who need it. Probably only those who are taking screenshots or videos. Other than that it has limited use.

Thanks for your post. I have continually noticed that many people are eager to lose weight as they wish to appear slim in addition to looking attractive. Nonetheless, they do not generally realize that there are more benefits for losing weight as well. Doctors declare that fat people suffer from a variety of diseases that can be directly attributed to their particular excess weight. Thankfully that people who are overweight along with suffering from different diseases can help to eliminate the severity of the illnesses by means of losing weight. It’s possible to see a progressive but notable improvement with health if even a moderate amount of losing weight is obtained gywl512.
